WebDoing basic stuff like browsing the web, the temps go up to ~50 and the fan revs up to ~3500. The default/automatic fan control never brings the fan back down when the temps cool off, but thinkfan fixes that. Now it tends to idle at level 1 (~2600rpm) and ~45 degrees. Now I'm curious what normal/safe temperatures are for the thinkfan controls.
