However, I dropped that in favour of openhab2, which I still use. (Probably this should be in a different forum). Netteti just installed homebridge on my pi with raspbian using the github instructions. i attempted to change my username and password. logs confirmed that the username changed, but it wouldn't accept my password at all. i had to delete the auth.json to get back in. however, it was not at ~/.homebridge/, but was in /var/lib/homebridge instead.
