Your options for getting it is: marketboard gather it at 1am game time (25 per person) Diadem it at easily 800+ per person / hour 8 level 2 WebI also started in Uldah and the MSQ will definitely give you an airship pass once you get to a certain point (about level 15) in the story. It will be really obvious as they explicitly give you the airship pass and send you to the other starter cities. Oh, I didnt realise the two were different questlines.

I still expect this to happen and that this will be one of those ways that will give us access to grade V materia like it does now to grade 3-4.
