Remove the two screws and the two electrical connecters also remove the float. The pivot can be removed with a little prying. WebMay 9, 2024 · Disconnect it and check inside. The signal from the fuel quantity sender is the purple wire. The ground for the circuit is the black wire next to the purple one. Connect/reconnect the halves several times to establish good pin contact. Check the gauge to see if you got lucky.

If the problem was just the oil pressure gauge it would probably be it's not getting the CAN high signal which would shut the gauge\light off. There's more going on though. Try a cold start with your MAF sensor disconnected and see if the MIL light goes out to see ...

After driving 75 or 100 miles, it come back up to slightly less than 3/4, and works until we fill up again. Although lately, it's been going to empty, then coming back again. WebJul 10, 2024 · If you mean the gas gauge doesn't read correctly then the most common problem is that the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank is defective. To change the sensor you must drop the fuel tank out of the truck or remove the bed and access it from the top. You will also need a special tool to remove the fuel lines from the tank fittings..

Two guys can easily tilt it up about 18" and prop with a 2x4.
